About the position

The General Manager at EquipmentShare is responsible for overseeing the Core Solutions rental location in Lewiston, ME. This role focuses on managing operations, building a strong team, and maximizing financial success while ensuring a safe and productive work environment. The General Manager will also be involved in strategic planning and performance evaluation to drive growth and improve service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Build an awesome team by hiring and developing amazing people.
  • Conduct reviews and performance evaluations as necessary to produce positive results.
  • Train employees and help them improve their skills.
  • Manage operations to maximize the financial success of the branch.
  • Conduct monthly profit and loss reviews to understand the business and identify areas for improvement.
  • Monitor metrics including equipment utilization, warranty recovery, and customer satisfaction.
  • Effectively communicate information to your team and management.
  • Establish reasonable and measurable goals with well-defined expectations for team members.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years rental industry experience, preferably in a management role.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Results-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
