About the position

The General Manager at K9 Resorts is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the business, ensuring that all departments function smoothly and efficiently. This role involves leading a team, managing staff performance, and upholding the company's mission and values. The General Manager is also accountable for customer service excellence, financial management, and community engagement, making it a pivotal position in delivering a premium experience for both dogs and their owners.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct, and oversee day-to-day operations of the business.
  • Lead and manage all departments, ensuring adherence to procedures and policies.
  • Protect, train, and guide the team to deliver exceptional experiences for guests and clients.
  • Oversee building maintenance and upgrades, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Manage procurement and inventory, ensuring necessary supplies are available.
  • Set operational goals and implement effective processes for overall success.
  • Oversee marketing and advertising efforts to promote the business.
  • Engage with local pet-related businesses to establish partnerships.
  • Ensure staff deliver exceptional customer service and handle high-level complaints.
  • Monitor financial performance through P&L statements and manage budgets.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-4 years managerial experience in the luxury pet care or hospitality industry.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent recommended.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Customer service-oriented with a proactive attitude.
  • Technical skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (1 year preferred).
  • Ability to relocate to Los Angeles, CA (preferred).
