About the position

The General Manager at Victra - Verizon Wireless Premium Retailer is responsible for overseeing all retail store functions, ensuring the implementation of the company's vision, and driving high-performance results in a fast-paced sales environment. This role involves mentoring the Assistant General Manager, optimizing customer and employee experiences, and leading a sales team to achieve sales, retention, and service objectives. The General Manager will also engage in business operations, including budgeting and sales strategy development, while maintaining compliance and performance standards within the store.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all retail store functions and communicate the company vision to the staff.
  • Drive high-performance results in a demanding sales environment.
  • Mentor the Assistant General Manager and provide ongoing training to the sales team.
  • Engage in sales strategy development to effectively showcase products and services.
  • Ensure store employees meet defined success measurements and complete training on time.
  • Maintain retail inventory compliance and manage business operations including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Innovate ways to drive traffic in stores and capitalize on the existing customer base.
  • Own store success, including staffing, scheduling, and loss prevention.
  • Handle guest escalations and provide timely resolutions.
  • Communicate company objectives and priorities to team members.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in a retail sales environment.
  • 2 years in a leadership/supervisory role.
  • Management experience in a commissions-based sales environment.
  • Proven track record of achieving challenging team and individual sales goals.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities in a multifaceted environment.
  • Basic interview skills and enhanced staffing knowledge.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One or more years of customer service experience, preferably in retail or sales.
