About the position

The General Manager at Sky Zone is responsible for overseeing the operations of the park, ensuring a positive culture, managing revenue and expenses, and maintaining safety compliance. This role requires a hands-on leader who can motivate team members, drive business results, and provide exceptional customer service. The General Manager will work closely with the District Manager and is expected to cultivate a fun and engaging environment for both employees and guests.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee park operations and manage expenses according to Profit & Loss (P&L) statements.
  • Develop and train Assistant General Managers and Team Leads to enhance their leadership skills.
  • Create a positive park culture by recognizing team member accomplishments and motivating them.
  • Manage all phases of employment including hiring, training, and performance monitoring.
  • Act as a liaison between park staff and corporate team, ensuring effective communication.
  • Address customer service issues proactively and ensure a memorable experience for guests.
  • Drive park revenue goals through membership sales, birthday parties, and special events.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop park promotions and marketing strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and train team members on safety protocols.
  • Monitor park attractions and equipment for safety and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associates or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of overall management experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in sales, preferably membership sales.
  • Experience in a high customer volume environment such as recreation, fitness, retail, or hospitality.
  • Ability to leverage P&L reports to set and manage business revenue goals.
  • Demonstrated experience in meeting or exceeding company KPIs.
  • Basic proficiency in technology including MS Office Suite, Teams, and POS systems.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift a minimum of 20 pounds.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Results-driven, reliable, detail-oriented, and organized.
