About the position

The General Manager is responsible for the profitable operation of the restaurant, ensuring adherence to Taco Bell Corporation's practices and procedures. This role focuses on cost control, customer service, employee development, and maximizing profits while maintaining high standards of restaurant appearance and service quality.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure quality service at the front counter and check product quality.
  • Train and coach employees on customer service and complaint handling.
  • Conduct meetings for planning, training, and reviewing operations.
  • Develop and maintain acceptable sales levels through local store marketing.
  • Monitor utilities, supplies, and costs to minimize impact on profits.
  • Analyze Profits and Loss statements and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Control restaurant inventory through an established inventory system.
  • Develop and post labor schedules in advance, adjusting as necessary based on sales volume.
  • Manage cash control and make daily bank deposits following company procedures.
  • Report accidents and incidents to Risk Management promptly and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with health department standards and maintain restaurant cleanliness and team image.
  • Inform Area Coach of hiring, promotions, and changes in employee status, processing payroll accordingly.
  • Conduct performance reviews and document disciplinary actions as necessary.
  • Utilize a preventive maintenance system for building and equipment repairs.
  • Attend scheduled meetings for planning and training purposes.
  • Complete all required administrative paperwork.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; university degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Serv Safe Certified.
  • Knowledge of P & L statements.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Open availability.
