About the position

The General Manager will oversee all sales, installation, and operational activities for regional store operations in Louisiana and Mississippi. This role is pivotal in driving strategic planning, budget compliance, and profitability while ensuring high customer service levels and operational efficiency across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct all sales, installation, and operational activities for regional store operations.
  • Monitor sales and profitability for each location to ensure appropriate resource allocation.
  • Analyze monthly financial performance and identify opportunities for enhancement.
  • Evaluate factors impacting sales and profitability, making recommendations to the Director of Store Operations.
  • Implement sales programs and promotions to increase sales and meet customer needs.
  • Provide leadership and direction to achieve financial performance objectives for each store location.
  • Engage and motivate the workforce to improve customer satisfaction and performance.
  • Resolve business or workforce issues as needed, providing guidance to store managers.
  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships to uphold the company's reputation.
  • Identify initiatives to improve productivity, sales, and customer service with store managers.
  • Manage distribution, transportation, installation, and store operations for efficiency and safety.
  • Review sales and operational reports to recommend improvements for efficiency and customer service.
  • Oversee inventory control and ensure accuracy in product storage and management.
  • Maintain a security program to protect company products and materials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related business field or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in sales and operations with P&L responsibility.
  • Solid understanding of the housing industry and customer channels.
  • Preferred knowledge of the manufactured housing segment.
  • Experience in business planning and developing customer relationships.
  • Proven leadership abilities with direct reports at multiple facilities.
  • Excellent customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of distribution and transportation activities and relevant laws.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook; experience with ERP systems.
