About the position

The Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a Burger King restaurant, ensuring the delivery of the Customer Promise and achieving desired outcomes such as increased sales, profitability, and employee retention. This role involves mobilizing the management team to manage financial controls, operations, people development, customer service, and compliance with company standards across all shifts. The manager must be prepared to work long or irregular hours as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Directs efficient and accurate preparation and sale of products and preventive maintenance of restaurant facilities.
  • Provides operations direction to team in a clear, concise and positive way and coaches others to lead operations.
  • Identifies and resolves bottlenecks in operations to improve speed of service.
  • Monitors operational programs, processes, and metrics to identify restaurant issues and involves management in resolving challenges.
  • Motivates and directs team members to exceed customer expectations with food and friendly service.
  • Works with team to act on customer feedback and resolve complaints in a timely manner.
  • Directs team to take pride in delivering the customer promise and Brand Delivery Standards.
  • Identifies and implements local strategies to market the restaurant and promote community involvement.
  • Provides coaching and feedback to crew and managers on processes and policies.
  • Leads the development and implementation of strategies to hire, promote, and retain effective crew talent.
  • Assumes full responsibility for restaurant profit and loss management by implementing marketing strategies and maintaining inventory.
  • Enforces compliance with government regulations, employment law, food safety, and operational policies.

Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; two (2) years of college or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of leadership experience in a Burger King or comparable restaurant environment.
  • Proficient in English with strong communication skills.
  • Strong math skills and Windows-based computer literacy.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the retail/hospitality industry.
  • Completion of internal certification training programs such as Basic Foundations Training and Serve Safe Essentials.
