About the position

The General Manager at New Life Transport Parts Center is responsible for driving sales strategies and overseeing the operations of the wholesale Distribution Center. This role involves leading a team, managing performance metrics, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective service delivery. The GM will also focus on achieving financial targets while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base.
• Engage with customers to determine sales needs and uncover future opportunities.
• Deliver high-level customer service by building relationships and maintaining a professional network.
• Provide accurate reporting of key performance indicators and make recommendations to improve customer service and retention.
• Stay updated on industry standards and innovations to increase sales.
• Oversee all Distribution Center functions and act as the primary source of information for warehouse and inventory concerns.
• Recruit, interview, hire, and train staff while ensuring order fulfillment and sales targets are met.
• Develop employees to achieve high performance and manage costs to meet financial targets.
• Maintain a safe and clean workspace.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, or Business (Preferred).
• 5+ years of industry experience in the heavy-duty parts industry.
• 3+ years of supervisory/management experience.
• 3+ years of parts sales experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory management software.
• Strong customer service and salesmanship skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the heavy-duty transportation industry.
• Ability to manage a P&L and calculate profit margins.
