As a General Manager at SONIC Drive-In, you will play a pivotal role in leading your team to deliver an exceptional food service experience. In this role, you will manage, train, monitor, and coach Crew/Team members, Carhops, and Skating Carhops. You will direct and assign tasks to ensure that all aspects of food service meet operational standards. Adhering to the employee handbook and monitoring compliance will be crucial in maintaining a positive work environment. You will also perform restaurant opening and closing duties, prepare employee work schedules, and make necessary adjustments to staffing levels based on operational needs. Inventory management will be another key responsibility, as you will monitor and maintain inventory levels, placing orders for food, paper, and other supplies while adhering to cost control procedures. You will complete and maintain all employment-related records and payroll records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. Customer service is at the heart of this position. You will reinforce a customer service mentality among your employees, ensuring that they are focused on serving customers at all times. You will handle guest requests and complaints with respect and urgency, reporting any issues to your supervisor and assisting in their resolution. Additionally, you will be involved in the hiring process, interviewing and selecting restaurant crew and management team members to achieve optimal staffing levels. To drive the restaurant's success, you will prepare operational reports and develop action plans to address any unfavorable financial or sales trends. Implementing a marketing plan will also be part of your responsibilities, ensuring that the restaurant remains competitive and appealing to customers.
