About the position

The General Manager at Pura Vida Miami plays a crucial role in ensuring the operational success of the brand. This position involves motivating and directing team members, overseeing inventory and financial performance, and maintaining high standards of customer service and food safety. The General Manager is responsible for training staff, managing daily operations, and fostering a positive work environment that encourages growth and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Motivate and direct team members to exceed customer expectations with fast and friendly service in clean surroundings.
  • Oversee inventory management, labor allocation, and utilize financial analysis to optimize restaurant performance.
  • Handle daily ordering and invoicing at the store level.
  • Provide training and mentorship for new employees and managers across all restaurant stations, leveraging team collaboration.
  • Ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations.
  • Uphold and reinforce all Pura Vida procedures and policies at the store level.
  • Efficiently organize, schedule, and supervise team member shifts.
  • Maintain a strong floor presence to oversee and ensure exceptional customer service.
  • Direct staff while on the floor to ensure smooth operations and address any issues promptly.
  • Monitor and manage the expo station to guarantee timely and accurate food delivery to customers.
  • Lead by example in providing exemplary customer service and addressing customer concerns effectively.
  • Support recruitment, selection, hiring, and talent retention initiatives at the store.
  • Recruit and develop talented employees, with an eye toward building organizational capacity and bench strength.
  • Create an environment that encourages innovation and development.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of management experience in the hospitality/restaurant industry.
  • College education is preferred, but not required.
  • Hard-working, enthusiastic leader with strong communication, organizational & problem-solving skills.
  • Friendly and professional demeanor with strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
  • Passionate about health and wellness is a bonus.
  • Must be able to frequently lift and or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish) is a plus.
  • Advanced typing/basic knowledge of Excel and POS systems.
