About the position

The General Manager at Flex will oversee and direct all manufacturing activities at the West Columbia, SC site. This role is crucial for ensuring that products are manufactured on schedule, within quality standards, and cost goals. The General Manager will be responsible for business development growth, strategic alliances with key customers, and leading large teams to improve operational metrics.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and control all manufacturing activities at the site.
• Coordinate operating activities to ensure products are manufactured on schedule and within quality standards.
• Estimate manufacturing capacity and manage production and materials control.
• Oversee warehousing, site facilities, maintenance, and industrial engineering activities.
• Develop and maintain strategic alliances with key customers.
• Interact with executives and major clients to influence and negotiate effectively.
• Direct execution and develop functional expertise to deliver customer solutions rapidly and cost-effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field; MBA preferred.
• 10 or more years of industry experience with at least 12 years in Operations Management at an Executive level.
• Experience in PCBA, assembly, and automation.
• Experience with high and low volume, as well as high and low mix products.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large teams and manage multi-million-dollar revenues.
• Ability to improve operation metrics including increasing turns, out of box quality, on time delivery, and reducing cycle time, costs, and inventory.
• Proven sales development skills and excellent operational and financial skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with ODM's and/or OEM's.
• NPI experience with new customer programs from concept to execution.
