About the position

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our established cafe operations in the Ocoee/Winter Garden area. This role involves overseeing all aspects of the restaurant's day-to-day operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient workflow, and a welcoming atmosphere. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality management and a passion for providing memorable experiences to guests.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team of staff members, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and cleanliness, in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage expenses to meet budgetary goals.
• Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork, communication, and employee development.
• Ensure excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries, resolving complaints, and implementing feedback.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to promote the cafe and drive sales through various channels.
• Stay updated on industry trends, market competition, and customer preferences to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a managerial role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a cafe or restaurant setting.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and empower team members.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Solid understanding of financial management, including budgeting, cost control, and profit optimization.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
• Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or a related field (preferred).
• ServSafe certification (preferred).
• Have reasonable bar and alcohol knowledge.
