About the position

The General Manager at Pasta|Bar in Los Angeles is responsible for overseeing all aspects of dining and service operations, ensuring a high-quality dining experience that aligns with the Scratch Restaurants Group's culture. This role requires strong leadership skills, fiscal responsibility, and the ability to engage with guests while managing a team in a fine dining environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of dining and service operations including service and chef team management.
• Engage with guests to provide a unique Michelin caliber dining experience.
• Manage daily planning, fiscal responsibilities, and beverage programs.
• Monitor labor and scheduling, and handle beverage ordering and purchasing administration.
• Maintain hygiene and sanitation standards within the restaurant.
• Focus on employee retention and development.
• Collaborate with the Chef de Cuisine to ensure proper leadership and training.
• Conduct monthly reviews of P&L and yearly budget objectives.
• Perform inventory and purchasing responsibilities in conjunction with the Chef de Cuisine or Sous Chef.
• Ensure all dining fixtures and service areas are clean and in excellent working condition.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a professional and hospitality-driven restaurant environment.
• Supervisory experience is required.
• Experience as an AGM or in a comparable management role in a restaurant setting.
• Server and/or bartending experience is preferred.
• Certified in safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
• Strong English language, professional communication, math, and computer skills are required.
• Ability to problem solve in real-time and lead a team with minimal guidance.
• Ability to work in a standing position for long periods (minimum of 12 hours/day).
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
