About the position

The General Manager at La Posada Hotel is responsible for overseeing all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring high standards of guest satisfaction, managing staff, maximizing revenue, and maintaining smooth day-to-day operations. This role requires strong leadership, exceptional organizational skills, and a passion for hospitality, with a focus on delivering memorable experiences for guests.

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative duties including writing and presenting reports, communicating with owners, guests, and property leaders.
• Critically review and strategize all performance reports to maximize profitability.
• Supervise the development and revision of the business plan, annual budget, and forecasts.
• Formulate complex reports and communicate proactively to owners.
• Interview, hire, supervise, and counsel department managers.
• Meet with and develop improvement plans for the management team.
• Partner with leaders on performance improvement opportunities and strategy.
• Participate in community affairs and maintain a positive public image for the hotel.
• Monitor cost control, property condition, cleanliness, and quality of service throughout the hotel.
• Greet and maintain rapport with associates and customers.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2-3 years' experience as a General Manager in a full-service hotel.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; university/college degree in management is a plus.
• At least 10 years of progressive hospitality management experience.
• Extensive knowledge of hotel operations, including marketing plans and budget forecasting.
• Strong leadership skills to motivate and develop the team.

Nice-to-haves

• Food & Beverage and Rooms operations experience desirable.
