About the position

The General Manager (GM) at Hawaiian Bros Island Grill is responsible for overseeing the operations of the assigned restaurant, ensuring that sales and profit targets are met through effective management of staff and adherence to company policies. The GM plays a crucial role in fostering a positive work environment, enhancing guest satisfaction, and implementing marketing strategies to drive business success.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the operations of the assigned restaurant to achieve planned sales and profit levels.
  • Supervise all managers and employees during operational hours.
  • Ensure execution of employee duties to guarantee maximum guest satisfaction.
  • Translate the company's Vision and Values into individual and team goals.
  • Align performance measures to support business and restaurant goals.
  • Model and reinforce desired behavior among staff, aligning rewards with contributions.
  • Determine employee career goals and monitor performance using the People First System.
  • Resolve employee concerns and communicate major issues to the Territory Director.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and customer service standards.
  • Oversee employee schedules to balance work/life considerations with business needs.
  • Maintain inventory levels for food items according to company guidelines.
  • Recruit, hire, and develop Shift Managers and Assistant General Managers.
  • Ensure adherence to company-wide quality, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Develop strategic plans for the restaurant aligned with company objectives.
  • Accountable for accurate financial data and preparation of financial reports.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
