About the position

The General Manager at Moondog HiFi is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Brooklyn's newest listening bar, ensuring exceptional guest experiences in a creative and music-driven environment. This role involves managing staff, collaborating with culinary and entertainment teams, and maintaining financial oversight to drive profitability while upholding the venue's unique concept.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure smooth service and exceptional guest experiences.
• Manage staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling.
• Collaborate with the chef, bar team, and DJs to curate a seamless experience between food, drinks, and music.
• Handle inventory, ordering, vendor relations, and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers.
• Ensure the venue adheres to health, safety, and legal standards.
• Manage financials, including budgeting, payroll, and P&L oversight.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a GM or similar leadership role in hospitality.
• Strong background in hospitality management.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledgeable in both front- and back-of-house operations, with experience in bar and kitchen management.
• Able to manage budgets and drive profitability while maintaining the integrity of the venue's concept.
