About the position

The General Manager serves as the primary strategic business leader of the property, overseeing all operational aspects including property performance, food and beverage operations, sales and marketing strategies, profitability, revenue generation, and human resources activities. This role is crucial in ensuring the implementation of brand service strategies and initiatives to meet or exceed guest expectations while building relationships with key customers and driving overall business success.

Responsibilities

  • Manage general property performance and food and beverage operations.
  • Develop and implement property-wide strategies.
  • Ensure implementation of brand service strategy and initiatives.
  • Build relationships with key customers and participate in the sales process.
  • Provide timely feedback to management and associates on service and operational standards.
  • Manage labor flow between departments to achieve profitability goals.
  • Prepare for quality assurance audits and follow up on property guest satisfaction scores.
  • Act as project manager for capital improvements and renovations.
  • Monitor food and beverage forecasting and par levels to maximize profit margins.
  • Work with the Regional Sales office to implement sales strategies for the property.
  • Manage on-property controllable costs associated with various operations.
  • Lead associates through property changes and conduct HR transactions.
  • Keep stakeholders updated on property performance and prepare reports.

Requirements

  • 2-year degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with 4 years of relevant experience; OR 4-year bachelor's degree in the same fields with 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, sales and marketing, or management operations.
