About the position

The General Manager at Crunch will oversee the club's operations, ensuring high-quality service and facilities for members. This role involves achieving financial targets, leading and motivating staff, and maintaining the integrity of the Crunch brand through effective management and communication.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of all standard operating procedures and policies that pertain to the club.
  • Communicate and implement club policies and procedures to employees.
  • Encourage staff to work as a team and be productive.
  • Illustrate an ability to make decisions.
  • Recruit and hire the highest possible caliber of staff.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage the team to achieve desired sales and revenue goals.
  • Implement and support company programs and promotions to generate new sales leads.
  • Ensure proper tracking forms and daily leads are maintained by the team.
  • Review sales-related written communication for effectiveness and accuracy.
  • Ensure staff has a high level of knowledge about club programs, facilities, and equipment.
  • Promote staff involvement in the community and neighborhood.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage the personal training department to achieve revenue goals.
  • Facilitate integration of Personal Training products into point of sale presentations.
  • Coordinate with club support functions such as Fitness, Sales, Marketing, and Accounting.
  • Resolve member complaints in a tactful manner following club procedures.
  • Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere for members.
  • Conduct weekly inspections of the club with the Maintenance Manager.
  • Ensure cleanliness, maintenance, safety, and security standards are met.
  • Assist in processing payroll and managing expenses.
  • Serve as a role model for employees and communicate effectively with staff.

Requirements

  • 4 year college degree preferred
  • 4 years management experience required
  • Fitness management experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
