About the position

The General Manager is responsible for the overall success of the hotel, focusing on guest satisfaction, associate satisfaction, financial goals, and maintaining the property’s reputation. This role involves leading the Operations team, ensuring compliance with company standards, and fostering a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates and promotes 100% commitment to providing the best possible experience for guests.
• Ensures resolution of all guest-related issues in line with company goals.
• Maintains high cleanliness standards for guest rooms and public areas.
• Provides training and manages Kai ESA processes for continuous improvement.
• Manages staff to meet company initiatives and ensures proper recruitment and onboarding procedures are followed.
• Drives a positive work environment through teamwork and recognition.
• Partners with the District Manager to enhance associate performance through coaching and policy enforcement.
• Conducts daily team meetings to discuss updates and performance improvement areas.
• Maintains appropriate PAR levels and manages purchases within budget.
• Manages cash collection and ensures quality lead generation quotas are achieved.
• Upholds ESA standards and policy compliance at the hotel level.

Requirements

• Minimum three years of related hospitality management experience required.
• Associate's degree highly preferred.
• Customer experience required.
• Ability to read and speak English and comprehend basic instructions.
• Ability to write effectively and present information in small group situations.

Nice-to-haves

• Conversational Spanish is beneficial.
• Basic knowledge of computers and software including email and word processing.
