About the position

The General Manager at Keke's Breakfast Cafe is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring high standards of guest service, food quality, and employee performance. This role involves planning, organizing, training, and leading staff to achieve sales and operational objectives while maintaining a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate planning, organizing, training, and leadership to achieve sales and operational objectives.
• Ensure guests receive responsive, friendly, and courteous service at all times.
• Maintain food quality and cleanliness according to restaurant standards.
• Control cash and receipts by adhering to cash handling procedures.
• Make employment and termination decisions as necessary.
• Fill in roles as needed to ensure guest service standards are met.
• Develop staff in managerial and professional areas.
• Prepare required paperwork, forms, reports, and schedules in a timely manner.
• Inspect equipment to ensure cleanliness and working condition.
• Ensure correct product delivery and adherence to receiving policies.
• Administer employee performance appraisals in a timely manner.
• Schedule labor according to business activity and labor cost objectives.
• Administer corrective actions for policy violations.
• Comply with health, safety, and labor regulations.
• Plan and execute marketing and promotional activities.

Requirements

• Minimum two years management experience.
• Minimum two years' experience in full service or fast casual restaurant.
• Excellent basic math skills and ability to operate a cash register or POS system.
• Ability to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of the restaurant's trading area.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Ability to conform to Keke's Breakfast Cafe dress code standards.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in front-of-the-house operations or assistant management positions.
• Stamina to work 50 to 60 hours per week.
