About the position

The Hotel General Manager will oversee the operations of the new WoodSpring Suites location in Billings, MT, ensuring exceptional guest services and effective team management. This role requires a hands-on approach to leadership, focusing on hiring, training, and motivating a small team while adhering to brand guidelines and operational budgets. The General Manager will also be responsible for sales and marketing efforts to maximize profitability and maintain strong community relations.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and development by selecting, training, counseling, and motivating a small team of 6-8 employees.
• Promote and deliver exceptional guest services, ensuring cleanliness and prompt resolution of guest-related concerns.
• Develop, administer, and control the property revenue and budget expenses.
• Responsible for monthly inventories, ordering, and receiving goods.
• Analyze Profit & Loss and General Ledger statements, submitting P&L Variance Reports in a timely manner.
• Facilitate sales and marketing efforts to achieve revenue and maximum profitability through knowledge of the hotel surroundings.
• Develop and maintain rapport with competitive properties, City Conventions, Visitors Bureau, Chamber of Commerce, and target accounts.

Requirements

• 1+ years' Hotel General Manager experience
• Proven team development and leadership background
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Reliable transportation
• Able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Able to stand, kneel, bend and twist on a continuous basis.

Nice-to-haves

• Valid Driver's License
• 1+ years' extended-stay hotel experience
• Bachelor's degree
• Multilingual
• Local candidates strongly preferred.
