About the position

The General Manager at Tropical Smoothie Cafe is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the café, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining a fun and positive atmosphere. This role involves managing staff, inventory, and sales goals while upholding the brand's values of Solid Relationships, Playing to Win, Creative Spirit, and Living Better. The ideal candidate will have a passion for healthy food and a desire to lead a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Interact with crew members, customers, and vendors to create a positive atmosphere using 'Tropitude'.
• Deliver unparalleled hospitality to each customer.
• Manage and delegate daily functions of the café, including food preparation and customer service.
• Recruit, interview, hire, and train new crew members.
• Manage ordering, inventory, and reconcile invoices for all products.
• Hit sales goals, manage labor, and control inventory.
• Ensure sanitation practices are followed in food handling and preparation.
• Train and coach crew members and shift leaders during each shift.
• Perform additional tasks necessary to run the café.

Requirements

• One or more years of restaurant experience, including supervisory experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• ServSafe Certified or ability to pass the certification test.
• Legally able to work within State and Federal guidelines.

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual in Spanish and English.
• 2+ years of experience in the food & restaurant industry.
• Food Service license/certification: ServSafe Manager Certification.
