About the position

The General Manager at Dave's Hot Chicken will oversee the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring that all activities run smoothly and efficiently. This role involves team building, training, and maintaining high standards of guest service and restaurant cleanliness. The General Manager is responsible for managing staff, handling guest complaints, and implementing operational strategies to enhance performance and profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the coordination and planning of everyday business operations.
  • Ensure all restaurant management and Team Members are performing their job responsibilities and meeting expectations.
  • Follow the DHC Training Program to learn and train new skills, duties, and responsibilities.
  • Communicate with supervisors regarding training needs and guidance.
  • Complete required Ops Walks and Q&A checks effectively and consistently.
  • Organize shift schedules for Team Members and monitor attendance and time off.
  • Understand the impact of job responsibilities on guests and overall operations.
  • Ensure the management team and Team Members prepare menu items following safety and sanitary requirements.
  • Delegate daily cleanliness tasks and ensure they are completed.
  • Handle guest concerns and complaints professionally to resolve issues.
  • Maintain a neat appearance by adhering to the uniform policy.
  • Provide direction and feedback to maintain productivity and morale.
  • Institute and follow cash handling policies and procedures.
  • Hire, train, schedule, and oversee daily tasks of teams.
  • Manage purchasing, inventory, maintenance, and other operational functions.
  • Develop strategies for workplace efficiency and goal achievement.
  • Focus on building sales and forecasting future performance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years old and fluent in English.
  • Previous Assistant General Manager or General Manager experience required.
  • Certified in all stations following the DHC Training Program.
  • Current ServSafe Certification is necessary.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays is required.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment is essential.
  • Positive attitude and commitment to guest satisfaction are crucial.
  • Effective communication skills with co-workers and management team.
