About the position

The General Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a corporate-owned restaurant, ensuring efficient management, customer satisfaction, and adherence to company policies. This role involves leadership in administrative duties, team management, and financial oversight to create value for shareholders.

Responsibilities

  • Create value for shareholders through efficient operations and profit management.
  • Manage a corporate-owned restaurant within company policies, ensuring 100% customer satisfaction.
  • Control day-to-day operations by scheduling labor, ordering supplies, and developing the restaurant team.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, local health and safety codes, and company safety policies.
  • Control profit and loss by following cash control procedures, maintaining inventory, and reviewing financial reports.
  • Recruit, interview, and hire team members; conduct performance appraisals and take disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Ensure maintenance of equipment and facilities through a preventative maintenance program.
  • Ensure food quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Execute corporate and local marketing programs in a timely manner.
  • Facilitate a safe working environment by promoting safe work behaviors among the team.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Supervisory experience in food service or retail environment, including Profit & Loss responsibility.
  • Basic business math and accounting skills.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • College or university degree preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience in conflict resolution and team building.
