About the position

The General Manager at D1 Training - STL is a pivotal leadership role responsible for managing and growing a fitness facility within a rapidly expanding franchise. This position requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in sales and management, particularly in the fitness industry. The General Manager will oversee daily operations, drive sales of high-ticket training packages, and ensure exceptional customer service while fostering a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the fitness facility.
• Drive sales of high-ticket personal training packages and memberships.
• Conduct weekly staff meetings and one-on-one meetings to inspire and hold staff accountable.
• Review financial performance and manage the facility's P&L with oversight from leadership.
• Meet with facility owners weekly to discuss various performance metrics.
• Provide a world-class experience to all members, including celebrities and professional athletes.
• Assist with check-ins and setting up new memberships in the POS system.
• Collect and process payments, and manage retail sales.
• Maintain daily/weekly statistical and financial reports.

Requirements

• Associate's degree required.
• 3+ years of experience in high-ticket sales and management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
• Experience in the fitness industry is preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with MindBody POS system.
• Knowledge of gym and retail operations.
• Social media management skills.
