About the position

The General Manager at Chipotle Mexican Grill is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the operations of a restaurant, ensuring a strong business performance, and fostering a positive team environment. This position plays a crucial role in hiring, training, and developing staff while maintaining high standards of food safety and guest experience. The General Manager is also expected to engage with the community and implement creative marketing strategies to promote the restaurant.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant to ensure a high-quality guest experience.
  • Hire, train, and develop team members to build a strong workforce.
  • Manage financial aspects of the restaurant, including P&L management and sales forecasting.
  • Ensure food safety and cleanliness standards are met consistently.

  • Assist in the preparation of food and maintain an organized kitchen environment.

Requirements

  • Previous restaurant experience is required.
  • Strong business knowledge, including P&L management and food safety.
  • Ability to lead and develop a team effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills in the primary language(s) of the work location.
  • Enthusiastic and friendly attitude towards guests and team members.
