About the position

Janie and Jack is seeking a passionate General Manager to lead their store team, focusing on delivering an exceptional customer-centric experience. The General Manager will be responsible for overall store performance, team building, and achieving financial goals while fostering a positive work environment that promotes diversity and inclusivity.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for overall store performance and KPI's.
• Act as a role model for the team in sales generation and customer focus, coaching staff to improve selling opportunities.
• Create and implement visual and merchandising strategies to increase sales.
• Utilize tools and resources to enhance the customer experience.
• Thrive in change and uncertainty, generating ideas to evolve and grow the business.
• Motivate and inspire the team to achieve/exceed business goals through in-store and omni selling.
• Accountable for self and consistently hold others accountable.
• Build a dynamic team by networking, recruiting, and anticipating future needs based on business objectives.
• Create and maintain a positive and productive work environment that fosters diversity, inclusivity, and teamwork.
• Identify and assess training needs, creating tailored training plans to enhance employee skills.

Requirements

• 4+ years management experience in specialty retail and/or multi-unit retail business.
• Demonstrated experience in meeting/exceeding sales and profits.
• Proven ability to identify top talent and train/develop/retain people.
• Experience creating merchandising strategies and implementing visual changes.
• Outstanding communication and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic company.
• Acts with authenticity, sincerity, and transparency.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move merchandise and fixtures up to 40 pounds.
