About the position

The General Manager at VOCO Times Square, NY is responsible for overseeing the hotel's operations, ensuring guest satisfaction, and driving business revenues. This role involves leading a team, fostering a positive work environment, and engaging with the local community to build strong relationships. The General Manager will also be accountable for executing company strategies and managing the hotel's financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, direct, and manage day-to-day hotel operations.
• Train and develop associates to excel in their roles and improve continuously.
• Motivate associates to exceed guest expectations and uphold a positive work environment.
• Engage with the local community and build relationships with officials, businesses, and customers.
• Drive revenue and guest service through collaboration with the management team.
• Hold property leadership accountable for strategy execution and guide their professional development.
• Support and communicate company goals and initiatives, acting as an ambassador for the company.
• Ensure operations function within the established financial parameters of the budget.
• Hire qualified associates and assemble skilled teams, managing performance and promoting teamwork.

Requirements

• At least two years of General Manager experience in full-service hotels of similar size and caliber.
• Minimum of 4 years of progressively responsible hotel management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and computer skills.
