About the position

The General Manager at Bon Appetit is responsible for the overall operation and cost-effective management of multiple dining service departments across various facilities. This role emphasizes providing exceptional service, achieving financial goals, and ensuring compliance with food service standards. Responsibilities

• Directly responsible for the overall operation and cost-effective management of multiple dining service departments.
• Ensure team achievement of financial goals and targets.
• Manage all financials including planning, budget development and analysis, and financial reporting.
• Conduct management meetings and audits to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
• Hire, train, and orient new management associates.
• Interact professionally with a diverse group of associates, peers, managers, suppliers, clients, and customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Food Services Technology/Management or related field, or an Associate's degree with five to seven years of related experience.
• Minimum of five years of retail operational foodservice management experience.
• Good knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, marketing, and presentation.
• P&L accountability and contract-managed service experience is desirable.
• Multi-unit management experience preferred.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and various computer programs.

Nice-to-haves

• Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification highly desirable.
• Retail marketing experience is highly desirable.
