About the position

As a General Manager at Patterson, you will oversee the sales and internal operations of the branch, focusing on maximizing growth and profitability while ensuring quality service to customers. This role involves managing the sales team, collaborating with the Operations Manager, and fostering a customer service culture within the branch.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise the sales and internal operations of the branch.
• Analyze and evaluate sales activities, market trends, and customer needs for sales optimization.
• Develop the sales team through ongoing training and constructive feedback.
• Review and evaluate the work of direct reports to assess job performance.
• Partner with the Operations Manager to create a customer service culture within the branch.
• Identify process improvements to increase efficiency or reduce costs.
• Participate in the selection process to determine personnel needs and ensure job coverage.
• Perform other general manager duties as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in sales, management, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A minimum of 3+ years of experience with a proven track record in sales.
• Background in customer service, sales, and asset management is ideal.
• Previous experience supervising sales teams is highly preferred.
• Strong business acumen and decision-making abilities with a customer focus.
• Ability to effectively lead people and build a high-performing team.
• General computer proficiency including knowledge of MS Office and CRM systems.
