About the position

The General Manager at Carolina Ale House is responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the restaurant, ensuring safety, training, administration, sales, and profitability. This role requires strong leadership skills to develop a high-performing management team and to foster a positive work environment that aligns with the company's philosophy of inspiring happiness through memorable experiences.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the safety, training, administration, sales, and profitability of the restaurant.
• Lead the selection, coaching, recognition, and development of a highly effective management team.
• Manage staffing levels, scheduling, performance corrections, and performance evaluations for front and back of house functions.
• Ensure the team is result and solution-driven, works collaboratively, and demonstrates Carolina Hospitality.
• Communicate regularly and effectively with Home Office, supervisors, management staff, team, and guests.
• Create and nurture relationships within the community as an ambassador of the brand.
• Adhere to all laws, policies, and company standards.
• Manage cost of sales and controllable expenses.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a managerial role within the restaurant industry.
• Strong leadership and team development skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Understanding of financial management and cost control.
