About the position

The General Manager at Team Car Care dba Jiffy Lube is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the store, ensuring exceptional customer service, and leading a team of employees. This role involves managing inventory, budgeting, and maintaining the facility while providing training and support to staff. The General Manager plays a crucial role in fostering a positive work environment and driving the store's success through effective leadership and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt and courteous guest service, answer questions, and resolve guest problems and complaints.
  • Maintain inventory control with knowledge of cost of goods, turn-ratio, ordering, and receiving products.
  • Responsible for budgeting, sales forecasts, and P/L performance, understanding factors affecting sales and profit.
  • Maintain or direct the maintenance of the building, equipment, and grounds.
  • Troubleshoot and coordinate the ongoing maintenance of the POS system.
  • Provide supervision and training to teammates, including scheduling, coaching, and performance management.
  • Hold teammates accountable and utilize appropriate performance management techniques.
  • Arrange for employment advertising, interview, and select teammates.
  • Monitor staffing levels and adjust accordingly to maintain labor control.
  • Conduct Teammate Orientation meetings as needed.
  • Provide safety, security, and environmental leadership for all store personnel.
  • Open and close the store as necessary.
  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly paperwork and manage cash controls.
  • Partner with the Loss Prevention Department to ensure policy compliance.
