About the position

The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all retail store functions, ensuring the implementation of the company vision, and driving high-performance results in a fast-paced sales environment. This role focuses on optimizing both customer and employee experiences while mentoring the Assistant General Manager and leading the store staff to achieve sales and service objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Building, developing, and mentoring the sales team.
  • Teaching, coaching, and following the sales process with Every Guest Every Time.
  • Attracting and retaining top caliber employees.
  • Acting as a brand advocate for Victra.
  • Providing ongoing sales training and support to exceed sales, retention, quality, and service objectives.
  • Engaging in sales strategy development to effectively showcase products and services.
  • Ensuring employees meet defined monthly success measurements and complete training on time.
  • Developing and implementing sales tools and initiatives.
  • Maintaining store performance through retail inventory compliance.
  • Engaging in business operations including budgeting, forecasting, and sales reporting.
  • Innovating ways to drive traffic in stores and capitalize on the existing customer base.
  • Taking ownership of store success, employee needs, staffing, scheduling, and all store functions.
  • Managing guest escalations and providing timely resolutions.
  • Communicating company objectives and priorities to team members with follow-up.
  • Staying updated with new sales promotions to provide complete solutions to guests.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in a retail sales environment, with 2 years in a leadership/supervisory role.
  • Management experience in a commissions-based sales environment.
  • Proven track record of achieving challenging team and individual sales goals.
  • Ability to balance multiple opposing priorities in a multifaceted environment.
  • Experience in setting goals, evaluating performance, and developing a high-performing team.
  • Basic interview skills and enhanced staffing knowledge.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One or more years of customer service experience, preferably in retail or sales.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and during peak vacation periods.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
