About the position

The General Manager (GM) at Plexus Corp. is responsible for providing focused leadership across site operations, ensuring alignment with global strategies and fostering operational excellence. The GM leads the Site Leadership Team (SLT) and collaborates with regional functional and customer management teams to meet customer expectations and drive profitable business growth. This role emphasizes maximizing human capital potential, creating effective systems and processes, and inspiring teams to achieve their best performance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies aligned with global standards to foster operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain strong connections with the customer service organization to support profitable business growth.
  • Integrate processes, organizational capability, and culture within a management system to achieve results.
  • Ensure accuracy and transparency of financial and performance data for sound decision-making.
  • Build strong leadership and operational teams integrated with regional and corporate resources to meet manufacturing goals.
  • Exemplify and hold the team accountable to Plexus Core Values.
  • Evaluate potential, drive succession planning, and ensure employee development and coaching.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Ten (10) years of related experience is required; ten (10) or more years of related experience is preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment with lean knowledge is preferred.
  • P&L experience as a Plant Manager or above in high technology products and services is beneficial.
  • Strong business and financial acumen as it applies to the manufacturing environment.
