About the position

The General Manager at EquipmentShare will oversee the Core Solutions rental location in Sioux Falls, SD, focusing on equipment rentals including aerial, earth moving, and material handling equipment. This role is pivotal in driving growth, managing operations, and developing a high-performing team to ensure financial success and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Build an awesome team by hiring and developing amazing people.
• Conduct reviews and performance evaluations as necessary to produce positive results.
• Train employees and help them improve their skills.
• Manage operations to maximize the financial success of the branch.
• Conduct monthly profit and loss reviews to understand the business and identify areas for improvement.
• Monitor metrics including equipment utilization, warranty recovery, and customer satisfaction.
• Effectively communicate information to your team and management.
• Establish reasonable and measurable goals with well-defined expectations for team members.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years rental industry experience, preferably in a management role.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills.
• Results-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
