About the position

This position involves taking ownership of the property opening by managing pre-opening tasks and leading the team during the ramp-up phase. The individual will focus on operational excellence, particularly in housekeeping and building maintenance, while ensuring high employee satisfaction and effective vendor management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage pre-opening tasks during property ramp-up.
  • Interview, hire, and train new team members for property launch.
  • Drive employee satisfaction scores and operational excellence.
  • Focus on housekeeping operations and building maintenance.
  • Ensure adherence to property preventative maintenance protocols.
  • Coordinate with vendors for property repairs while managing costs.
  • Maintain property condition and FF&E in guest units, public areas, and BOH.
  • Develop and implement best practices for optimizing occupancy and net rates.
  • Manage and grow vendor relationships and costs.
  • Foster relationships between ownership and management.
  • Oversee property expenses and manage monthly checkbooks.
  • Support property sales through site tours and events.
  • Build partnerships within the community.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of hospitality leadership experience.
  • Previous experience with heart of house operations preferred.
  • Experience managing housekeeping operations and laundry.
  • Skilled in recruiting and onboarding new employees.
  • Strong critical thinking skills to find innovative solutions.
  • Ability to drive culture through effective communication and team meetings.
  • Tech-savvy to manage inventory of systems and products.
