About the position

The General Manager at Jimmy John's is responsible for overseeing all aspects of in-store operations, ensuring that the store runs efficiently and meets brand standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, the ability to manage staff, and a commitment to food safety and quality. The General Manager must ensure that all employees perform their duties effectively and maintain a high standard of store presentation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee staffing and scheduling of employees.
• Manage food safety and compliance with health regulations.
• Handle inventory and stock ordering efficiently.
• Monitor and manage cost of goods sold (COGS).
• Ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed.
• Maintain brand compliance and store presentation standards.
• Train and coach employees on store operations and procedures.
• Organize and prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
• Jimmy John Manager Certification is necessary.
• ServSafe Manager Certification is required.
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Ability to perform, teach, and train all aspects of Assistant Manager, PIC, InShopper, and Delivery Driver positions.
• Ability to handle fast-paced and high-stress situations in the store.
• Physical ability to lift 30-40 lbs. regularly and be mobile in walk-in refrigerator and freezer.
