About the position

The General Manager (GM) at The Apothecarium is responsible for overseeing the retail operations of the dispensary, ensuring effective performance management, and executing strategies that enhance patient experiences. This role involves collaborating with Assistant General Managers to drive business management and financial performance, while also managing various operational tasks such as inventory audits, financial reporting, and marketing promotions. The GM must possess strong situational awareness and emotional intelligence to lead a diverse team effectively.

Responsibilities

• Oversee retail operations including merchandising, staffing, and patient order fulfillment processes.
• Analyze dispensary's P&L and financial reporting for meetings.
• Manage delivery and audit store's inventory levels.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to run promotions based on patient feedback and product sell-through.
• Ensure best-in-class patient experience through strategic and tactical management.

Requirements

• Minimum of five (5) years of management experience in retail, restaurant, food, or service industry with financial responsibility.
• Cannabis experience highly preferred.
• Excellent leadership and coaching skills with a focus on empathy and servant-leadership.
• Previous management proficiency in high-volume retail with P&L accountability.
• Ability to create and maintain a customer-focused culture.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a medical or recreational cannabis environment.
• Strong analytical skills for financial reporting and inventory management.
