About the position

The University of California, San Francisco is seeking a Pediatric Cardiologist to join the Division of Cardiology in the Department of Pediatrics. This faculty position is available at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank within the Health Sciences Clinical or Clinical X faculty series. The role involves providing comprehensive care at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals, including inpatient, outpatient, and echocardiography imaging support. The selected candidate will contribute to the mission of excellence in research, education, and patient care within a major academic medical center.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive pediatric cardiology care at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals.
  • Manage inpatient services for pediatric cardiology patients.
  • Conduct outpatient clinics with five half-day sessions per week.
  • Perform echocardiography imaging, including transthoracic, fetal, and transesophageal echocardiography.
  • Contribute to the fellowship training program and academic mission of the department.

Requirements

  • Medical degree and valid medical license.
  • Board certification in Pediatrics.
  • Subspecialty certification or eligibility in Pediatric Cardiology.
  • Proficiency in transthoracic, fetal, and transesophageal echocardiography through formal clinical training or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced fourth-year pediatric fellowship training in echocardiography and/or three years of practice experience (preferred).
