About the position

Audacy Sacramento is seeking an experienced and dynamic General Sales Manager to lead a high-performing sales team in a multi-media environment. This role focuses on driving revenue growth through strategic management, innovative sales strategies, and exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will be responsible for coaching and motivating the sales team, developing client relationships, and leveraging data to make informed operational decisions. Responsibilities

  • Exceed revenue objectives by motivating account executives and clients.
  • Hold sales team accountable to priorities and manage through direct reporting and peer groups.
  • Develop and maintain a focused sales strategy with measurable tactics to generate sales and revenue.
  • Coach and lead the sales team, providing support and removing obstacles to success.
  • Lead and train the sales team in evolving media trends, including digital audio and data.
  • Develop and grow relationships with clients through meetings and understanding their marketplace needs.
  • Leverage data and resources for sound management and operational decision-making.
  • Create sales opportunities that align with client needs across various media formats.
  • Own financial metrics of the department, including pricing and revenue forecasting.
  • Monitor competition and market trends.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of managerial experience in media, preferably audio and digital.
  • Proven track record of leading a successful sales team through change and innovation.
  • Strong background in strategic account management, sales training, leadership, pricing, and budgeting.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and organizational skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Experience utilizing a CMS, preferably Salesforce, to manage teams.
  • Ability to manage various projects proactively and deliver quality results on time.
  • Exceptional presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
