About the position

The General Superintendent for Fairway Construction, Inc. is responsible for overseeing all construction operations, including managing field operations and supervising project superintendents and field staff. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to ensure safety and quality standards are met on job sites. The position involves frequent travel and collaboration with project managers and internal teams to ensure successful project completion.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all construction operations including field operations and directly supervise project superintendents and field staff.
  • Ensure safety standards per company Best Practices and OSHA standards are implemented at job sites.
  • Coordinate and schedule labor assignments for weekly projects according to Project Schedules.
  • Implement and oversee project quality standards and installation Best Practice Systems.
  • Conduct training for field personnel on various construction practices and safety inspections.
  • Manage company rental equipment, tools, and office/field equipment.
  • Monitor and enforce standards of production for self-performed work.
  • Communicate opportunities or issues regarding production, technology, and budgets to relevant teams.
  • Uphold high customer service standards through personal leadership and managed employees.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, health & safety laws & ordinances.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of construction superintendent experience with a General Contractor (GC).
  • Proven experience leading field construction teams.
  • Advanced knowledge in interpreting building blueprints and construction project budgets.
  • Proficient in Procore or similar construction management platform.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project and SAGE Intacct preferred.
  • Onsite construction experience managing multiple teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or relevant field preferred.
  • OSHA training preferred.
  • EarthCraft certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of ADA or certification preferred.
