About the position

The position involves working in multiple departments within a distribution center, focusing on tasks such as case picking, shipping, receiving, returns, loading, order processing, and replenishment. The role requires operating material handling equipment to efficiently move inventory and ensure accurate order fulfillment.

Responsibilities

• Use material handling equipment to locate and deliver products, supplies, and equipment to designated areas.
• Assist with staging and loading orders into trucks for customer delivery.
• Verify quantity and quality of incoming products from vendors and distribution centers.
• Use packing list information to collect items for customer orders, including building and wrapping pallets of products.
• Examine and inspect stock items for wear and defects and notify management of inventory issues.
• Return misplaced products to proper storage areas.
• Maintain a clean working environment in accordance with company safety policies.
• Perform inventory control functions as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• Generally 2-5 years of experience in area of responsibility.
• Specialized skills training/certification may be required.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior experience working in multiple departments in a distribution center.
• Previous experience operating material handling equipment.
• Ability to understand written material.
