About the position
The General Warehouse/Box Builder position at SanMar Corporation involves supporting daily operations in the Distribution Center. The role focuses on maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work environment while performing various tasks related to sorting, recycling, and inventory management.
Responsibilities
- Sort, compact, and bind cardboard for recycling; recycle plastic.
- Set up order processing areas with supplies.
- Restock recycled boxes, new boxes, and envelopes.
- Keep inventory records of boxes, tape, and envelopes as required.
- Maintain a safe, neat, and clean work area by adhering to safety regulations.
Requirements
- Less than 1 year of experience in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and identify colors, sizes, quantity, label, and SKU information.
- Basic math skills in counting and quantity.
- Ability to comprehend verbal and written instructions.
- Demonstrates ability to follow directions and adapt to changing priorities or job duties.
- Ability to work in a high-demand, high-volume environment and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
