The Inventory Control position is a vital role within the Distribution department, responsible for assisting the Production Supervisor in ensuring the timely and accurate reporting of inventory quantities. This position requires a proactive approach to monitoring and maintaining current inventory levels, tracking orders, and investigating any discrepancies that may arise. The individual in this role will perform physical counts of inventory and reconcile actual stock counts with computer-generated reports, such as Put Away and Shrink reports. Additionally, the Inventory Control professional will be responsible for re-stocking items as necessary and labeling shelves to maintain organization within the warehouse. In this role, routine clerical duties, including data entry, will be performed, and the individual may also lead, guide, and train staff performing related work. Collaboration with warehouse employees is essential to ensure that cycle counts are completed accurately and efficiently. The Inventory Control position requires regular, reliable attendance, as the work cannot be performed remotely. The individual will also be expected to investigate inventory errors and implement corrective measures to maintain inventory integrity. The work environment is dynamic and fast-paced, requiring the ability to adapt to various tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
