About the position

The People Services Generalist at Neiman Marcus Group plays a crucial role in managing the People Lifecycle, focusing on hiring, associate relations, onboarding, performance management, and development. This position serves as a partner to both store associates and leadership, ensuring effective implementation of People Services initiatives across 1-2 stores. The role emphasizes diversity and belonging, compliance with employment laws, and support for leadership in performance management.

Responsibilities

  • Champion Diversity and Belonging to build an environment where everyone is respected
  • Support Leadership with identifying performance opportunities throughout the performance process
  • Partner in Associate Relation resolution
  • Recruit non-exempt candidates for open positions
  • Plan, schedule and participate in new hire orientation together with store leadership teams
  • Conduct audits to ensure store compliance with all federal, state and local requirements
  • Act as benefits open enrollment liaison
  • Administer FMLA, ADA, Leave of Absence, and other local and federal regulations

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of relevant People Services experience
  • Basic understanding of necessary local and federal employment laws
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Understanding of MS Office Product Suite
  • A flexible work schedule
