Generative AI Data Scientist

About the position

The Generative AI Data Scientist at Deloitte will be responsible for developing, designing, and maintaining advanced AI-based systems, focusing on Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Generative AI solutions. This role involves collaborating with client teams to create and implement machine learning models, optimizing user experiences, and promoting AI strategies across various sectors. The position emphasizes a hands-on approach to building scalable AI solutions while ensuring adherence to best practices in AI development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and architect Generative AI solutions using machine learning and Generative AI techniques.
• Refine and optimize prompts for Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Conduct code and design reviews to ensure quality and performance.
• Evaluate and select appropriate AI tools and machine learning models for various tasks.
• Build and train machine learning models using Python and open-source technologies.
• Collaborate with leadership to identify AI opportunities and promote strategies.
• Conduct training sessions for users on model development and interaction.
• Design and build generative models, selecting suitable architectures based on desired outputs.
• Integrate generative AI solutions into existing systems or develop new applications.
• Stay updated on the latest research and ethical considerations in AI development.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience programming in Python or R.
• Knowledge of Python libraries like Pandas, Scikit-Learn, Numpy, NLTK.
• 3+ years of experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Large Language Models (LLM).
• 3+ years of experience building and maintaining scalable API solutions.
• Experience with RAG technologies and LLM frameworks (Langchain, Claude, LLamaIndex).
• Experience with vector databases (FAISS, Milvus, OpenSearch, Pinecone).
• Experience building scalable data models and performing complex SQL queries.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience driving DevOps and MLOps practices.
• 3+ years of experience in developing algorithms using data science technologies.
• 3+ years of data extraction/manipulation experience using AI/ML scripts.
• 3+ years of modeling experience using regression and supervised/unsupervised learning techniques.
• 3+ years of experience in data wrangling/cleansing and statistical modeling.
• 3+ years of experience working in an Agile development environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous Government Consulting and/or professional services experience.
• In-depth understanding of AI protocols and standards.
• Deep knowledge of a specific domain or industry related to NLP/LLM solutions.
• Experience with debugging and troubleshooting software design issues.
• Certification from any of the three major cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) in Cloud Architecture/Engineering/DevOps/ML.
