About the position

The GenAI Engineer position at Cognizant involves developing and deploying applications that leverage large language models (LLMs). The role requires strong software development skills, particularly in Python, and experience with API development. The engineer will be responsible for authoring, deploying, debugging, and troubleshooting function apps, as well as scaling these applications effectively.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy applications utilizing large language models (LLMs).
• Author, deploy, debug, and troubleshoot function apps.
• Scale function apps both horizontally and vertically.
• Develop APIs for application integration.

Requirements

• 10+ years of strong software development experience.
• 6 months of experience interfacing with and leveraging LLMs.
• Strong expertise in Python programming.
• Experience in authoring, deploying, debugging, and troubleshooting function apps.
• Experience in scaling function apps (horizontally and vertically).
• API development experience.

Nice-to-haves

• General understanding of Generative AI models, concepts, capabilities, and usage patterns.
• Experience with Langchain or similar abstraction/orchestration libraries.
• Experience with Azure Open AI models - public API.
• Experience with Google Gemini model variants - public API.
