About the position

The Generator Sales Account Executive for Data Centers at Rehlko Power Systems is responsible for developing key partnerships and executing complex projects within the Data Center vertical segment. This role requires a strong relationship management approach, focusing on both maintaining existing relationships and building new ones. The position involves significant interaction with key influencers throughout the sales phase and aims to aggressively grow profitable sales of power system solutions, including generators and related equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the go-to-market strategy for solutions sales to Distribution Partners, End Users, Contractors, and EPC firms for Data Center clients.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Operations, and Engineering to build strong market and competitive intelligence for effective presentations and value propositions.
  • Lead sales activities supporting the entire influencing chain from End Users, EPC, Contractors, and consulting firms, focusing on the data center segment.
  • Establish long-term relationships with key individuals at targeted accounts, becoming a trusted advisor.
  • Provide guidance during the initial design stage and assist with developing project requirements, drawings, and specifications.
  • Review project specifications and drawings, serving as the application engineering expert for assigned accounts.
  • Work with the inside sales team, suppliers, and distribution network to prepare quotes and preliminary drawings for projects.
  • Participate in project review meetings and pre-quote project requirements meetings.

Requirements

  • Experience selling industrial products to data centers or their suppliers.
  • Strong understanding of power products including generators, automatic transfer switches, and paralleling switchgear.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels, including C Suite.
  • Knowledge of pertinent codes and standards such as NEC, IEEE, UL, and IBC.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in project management within the data center industry.
  • Familiarity with engineering and construction processes related to power systems.
