About the position

The Genesys API Developer position at CGI Technologies and Solutions, Inc. is a hybrid role focused on designing, developing, and maintaining APIs for the Genesys software application. The developer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of APIs, contributing to the enhancement of functionality for top-tier banking clients.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement high-quality APIs that meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with software architects to define API specifications and standards.
  • Integrate APIs with existing systems and third-party services.
  • Conduct thorough testing to identify and address potential issues, ensuring reliability and scalability of APIs.
  • Create comprehensive documentation for APIs, including technical specifications, usage guides, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including front-end and back-end developers, to ensure seamless integration of APIs.
  • Identify and address performance bottlenecks in API code to ensure optimal speed and efficiency.
  • Implement security best practices to safeguard APIs against potential vulnerabilities.
  • Utilize version control systems to manage and track changes to API code.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for API-related issues.

Requirements

  • Familiarity/experience with call center technology.
  • Experience with Genesys Cloud Architect.
  • Experience building Genesys call flows and data actions that include integrations with external APIs/systems.
  • Experience in microservices development/integration.
  • Proven experience as an API Developer or similar role.
  • Solid understanding of RESTful and SOAP APIs.
  • Experience with API security protocols and best practices.
  • 5+ years' experience as Java developer.
  • 2+ years' experience with Spring and microservices.
  • Strong aptitude for learning on the fly and embracing new technologies.
  • Strong experience in writing and maintaining unit tests.
  • Experience with GIT version control.
  • Experience with Jenkins and Pipelines.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues independently.
  • Ability to collaborate with others.
  • Very strong verbal and written communication skills.
