About The Position

The Genetic Counselor I position at UAB Medicine involves working closely with the Genetic Counselor to provide genetic information to healthcare professionals and coordinate genetic testing and results. Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Provide genetic information to referring physicians and healthcare professionals.
  • Coordinate genetic testing and results.
  • Assist with counseling support for various genetics clinics.
  • Coordinate care for patients with undiagnosed severe chronic medical conditions.
  • Work closely with the UAB Undiagnosed Diseases Program team.
